I’d wanted to visit the Florida Keys for years, ever since I learned you can drive there from Miami via the Overseas Highway. I had plans to go in March/April 2020, and, well – the trip became a pandemic lockdown casualty and the opportunity fizzled. This year (2024) I was surprised with the chance to go again. On our way to the Keys, we stopped by Everglades National Park where I snapped this reference photo.

This is a one-of-a-kind original ‘study’ — a piece I completed as research and/or in preparation for a larger work, or simply an experimentation of form, color, line, composition. Prints will not be made available.

Shipping is via UPS and is only available in the continental U.S. at this time. Each painting is carefully packaged in a crush-resistant cardboard box to ensure safety in transit. Shipping fees include materials, handling, and insurance. A signature is required upon delivery.
